"Libralato  Giovanni"



Giovanni Libralato earned a B.S., M.S. and PhD in Environmental Sciences from University Ca’ Foscari Venice. He held a postdoctoral position from 2008 to 2016 at University Ca’ Foscari Venice (Italy), and a contract professor position at University Ca’ Foscari Venice (Italy) from 2009 to 2016, at the University Padua (Italy) from 2015 to 2016, and at the University of Naples Federico II in 2016. He was visiting researcher and visiting professor at Université de Nice Sophia-Antipolis (2008) and Université de Lorraine (2013-2015).

Currently, he holds a researcher position (MED/42) at the University of Naples Federico II and received the Italian scientific qualification for associate professor in General and Applied Hygiene. He teaches two courses: Hygiene and laboratory and Methods in Epidemiology.

His main research interests are related to applied environmental hygiene including aquatic (eco)toxicology, nano(eco)toxicology, toxicant effects on populations, factors modifying toxicity, inorganic water chemistry, wastewater treatment, soil and sediment remediation, recovery and reuse of by-products, and water reuse.
