Prof. Evan Diamadopoulos is Professor in the Department of Environmental Engineering and Director of the Laboratory of Environmental Engineering and Management at the Technical University of Crete. His professional research experience covers 25 years as faculty member at TUC.
His expertise covers the following areas:
• Water and wastewater treatment.
• Waste valorization, including biochar and activated carbon production from waste agricultural biomass, and water recycling and reuse.
He has been the principal investigator for 35 research projects, which were funded by the EU, the General Secretariat of Research and Technology, the Ministry of Education and the private sector. He has 87 publications in international scientific journals, over 1900 citations to his work (h-factor=25), and he is the recipient of one patent. He has been an evaluator of research proposals for the EU, the General Secretariat for Research and Technology, the Ministry of Education, as well as the Research Authorities of Israel, Turkey, the Baltic countries and Chile.
